Jennifer Lopez, Compliance Specialist, works closely with clients to ensure that contractors and project owners are following payroll regulations. She monitors certified payrolls for misclassifications and violations of Davis-Bacon Related Acts, analyzes conformances, interacts with contracting officers at all levels of government, alerts DOL and state agencies to potential issues with non-compliant contractors.
Jennifer is able to provide solutions to complex topics in innovative ways. After completing her BA in Business Administration at Sam Houston State University, Jennifer continued her education towards a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Internal Auditor. She has a unique passion for compliance on Davis Bacon regulated projects and has been in the commercial construction industry for over a decade. In addition, Jennifer has over 20 years of experience as a controller and senior management, managing compliance, internal and external auditing, and payroll. Jennifer is always advancing her education and knowledge regarding Davis-Bacon regulations by attending courses, webinars, and reading updates.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and four rescue cats, watching documentaries, and reading about current events.
