PHOENIX, Ariz. (January 31, 2024) – Luke Douglas, Government Relations Director at Torres Consulting and Law Group, received a 2023 Rising Stars Award from the Arizona Capitol Times in December.
The award recognizes young professionals who have made marks on Arizona’s political landscape early in their careers. He was honored at an event at the Arizona Capitol Times building held Dec. 12th.
This is the second year in a row Luke has received such an award. In 2022, he was honored as one of the Arizona Capitol Times Cap under 40 recipients for tenaciously tackling challenging issues that affected the state’s short and long-term interests.
Luke says he thrives most when the areas of law, policy, and politics meet, and his education and experience reflect that. He started with TCLG in August 2021 after serving as executive director and general counsel of the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix. Before that, he started his career in professional political advocacy when he was eighteen.
As government relations director, Luke directs the government relations team and leads projects for major clients. He assists clients with the development and implementation of their government relations and strategic communications plans, the management of their political action committees, and the analysis of legislation and policies that impact their organizations.
Luke holds a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in constitutional law and a Bachelor of Arts in communications.
