TEMPE, Ariz. – Oct. 9, 2015 – Torres Consulting & Law Group clients were victorious in the recent U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage survey for Plumbers, Pipefitters and Sheet Metal workers in every county in Colorado. The U.S. Department of Labor Survey Results have been posted for the Colorado Building Survey Conducted by the DOL for projects that were active and ongoing between April 1, 2012 and March 3, 2013. The Secretary of Labor establishes the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates by trade classification, type of work and geographic location. Prevailing wages are primarily set using data submitted voluntarily during a Davis-Bacon Wage Survey. Participation in a wage survey process is an essential part of securing a union prevailing wage rate. As the DOL conducts surveys infrequently, it is an important opportunity to ensure that union rate prevails. TCLG compliance staff plays a keys role in ensuring participation in the wage survey process. We are thrilled to have helped our clients prove to the U.S. DOL that union wages prevail in Colorado. Unscrupulous contractors that drive wages down are not welcome in Colorado.” TCLG’s survey participation monitoring services help protect prevailing union wages on all federally funded projects – the TCLG team understands how to navigate the complex system of federal regulations related to Davis Bacon and Related Acts. The firm monitors projects and coordinates with contracting officers, contractors, labor unions and the U.S. Department of Labor on hundreds of projects, representing billions of dollars in jobs. TCLG recognizes how important the prevailing wage is to each local union, its members, the contractors association, and its signatory contractors. TCLG provides a variety of consulting services, including regulatory compliance and public and government relations, to clients across the United States. A specialty is DavisBacon and prevailing wage compliance for local unions, contractor associations and building trades’ organizations.
